The Stone Twins- Creatie Magazine commission (2010)
I found this magazine work in particular really interesting as I love cartoon style, more abstract illustrations and it's relevant to know how these can be taken from the sketchbook and used in a commercial / developed design piece. The simple use of colour is a lot more subtle backgrounds then I'm used to using so could aid me in looking at the 'less is more' approach while maintaining elements of the more abstract nature with bizarre sketches.
Christopher Doyle- Identity Guidelines (2008)
Used as his CV, I found this piece very interesting particularly as an exploration of self through the more obscure aspects. The addition of humour is so important in this which is what drew me to it really, as CV's can be such a laborious task not only to create but also for employers to read so this abstract approach opens up my mind to endless possibilities of non paper form CV's.
